Grief and Hope
July 23rd - September 4th
How do we mourn and manage loss? GoCM presents Grief and Hope, “a special exhibition at GoCM Gallery Chicago”. Artists reflect on how to process personal and collective loss and find a path towards healing. The exhibition also features a collaboration with the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh through a collection of 36 small mosaics created for a travelling project titled “From Darkness to Light”. From Darkness to Light: Mosaics Inspired by Tragedy is a poignant tribute and educational endeavour dedicated to honouring the memory of the eleven lives lost at the Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting in 2018. The exhibition reflects the transformative potential of art to inspire empathy, understanding, and social change.
