Angela Sanders was born in northern England. She has been greatly influenced by the transient life of her immigrant family. Her art is inspired by memories of places, events and feelings that have left indelible marks in her everyday life today. Memories ground and comfort Angela, and they often replace a sense of isolation and longing for family associations and times past. Recollections and memories can become more important than the actual experiences, so expressing them is an essential part of Angela’s consciousness and her art.
